Measure every citrus block with the phone in your pocket.
ZestLens turns an iPhone Pro's LiDAR camera into a field instrument: fruit diameter, EU size codes, peel defects and harvest-ready reports — no new hardware, no drones, no spreadsheets.

Sizing by hand doesn't scale.
Calipers, clipboards and spreadsheets give you a few dozen fruit from a few trees — and the real size profile of a block only shows up at the packhouse, when it's too late to plan sales, packaging or harvest order. ZestLens measures hundreds of fruit per visit, in minutes, and turns them into decisions.
How it works
Map your blocks
Tap the four corners of each block on a satellite map. ZestLens knows which block every photo belongs to — and refuses to shoot outside your orchard.
Capture
Aim at a fruit. The frame turns green when distance and depth are right (25–60 cm). Take about 40 photos at each sampling point — corners and centre of the block.
Get the report
Photos upload automatically. Within minutes you get size distribution, EU size codes, peel quality, growth and yield — on the phone and as a shareable PDF.
Everything a block report needs
Diameter from depth
LiDAR depth plus AI segmentation and a sphere correction measure the real diameter of each fruit — not a guess from pixels.
EU size codes
Size distribution in 5 mm classes and EU 543/2011 size codes for oranges, mandarins and lemons, with the share below the minimum size.
Peel defects
Each fruit is graded from no defect to severe. You see the export-grade share and every flagged photo, and confirm or correct with one tap.
Bin scan
Scan harvest bins from above: fruit size and stem quality — clean cut, long stem or plucked — per picker, so you can train the team where it matters.
Growth and yield
Week-by-week growth against published curves, harvest-size outlook, and yield in tonnes from your tree count and fruit-per-tree.
Literature-backed notes
Recommendations cite 157 peer-reviewed and official sources. Every finding was checked against the original text — no invented numbers.
Teams and roles
One company account for all your blocks. Invite scouts and viewers with a code; managers control who sees what. Each company's data is stored separately.
Reports in your language
The app, the weekly report and the PDF speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Greek, Turkish, Arabic, Russian and Chinese.

Honest numbers
We publish how well ZestLens works — and where it doesn't yet.
of fruit flagged as defective really are defective
of sound fruit are recognised as sound
of defective fruit are caught
Measured on 380 labelled images from open citrus datasets. The defect type is shown only as a hint until it reaches the same reliability. Diameter accuracy depends on calibration: measure 10 fruit with calipers per block and ZestLens adapts; every average is reported with its 95% confidence interval. Field validation for the 2026–27 season is under way.
Your orchard data stays yours
Photos are analysed on our own servers with locally-run AI models — no third-party AI services, no selling or sharing of your data, and nothing is used to train someone else's model. Delete your account in the app and everything is gone.

Frequently asked questions
Which iPhones work?
Any iPhone Pro or Pro Max with LiDAR (iPhone 12 Pro and later). Other iPhones can view reports but cannot measure.
Does it work without signal in the orchard?
Yes. Photos are queued on the phone and upload automatically when a connection is available.
Which crops and cultivars?
Oranges, mandarins and lemons, with profiles for 35 cultivars such as Valencia Late, Washington Navel, Okitsu, Nova and Interdonato.
How many photos do I need?
About 40 per sampling point and 4–5 points per block — roughly 20–30 minutes per block.
